Senior Risk & Control Frameworks Specialist

In this role you will manage the roll-out and operations of our risk and control frameworks to support effective risk management across the Group. This includes operating risk assessment and certification processes, driving continuous improvements and alignment between frameworks, and supporting all in-scope entities globally with operations and maintenance.

   

Your role

 

As a Senior Risk & Control Frameworks Specialist your main responsibilities will involve:



  • Support execution of Group-wide control frameworks for financial reporting (ICFR) and economic capital and solvency in line with the assurance level defined by Group Executive Management and the Board

  • Oversee operations including risk assessment, management self-assessment, issue management and testing activities

  • Design and implement advanced reporting solutions in collaboration with our information solutions team to support oversight and operations

  • Support the monitoring of issues identified by the framework or elsewhere for potential impact on capital and solvency numbers at Group level

  • Orchestrate the country interaction to ensure the entities are kept up to date of the latest developments

  • Prepare and present training materials in support of implementation and operations of all risk and control frameworks

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a Senior Risk & Control Frameworks Specialist your skills and qualifications will ideally include:



  • A degree in business or related subject is required

  • Professional qualifications and/or significant experience in accountancy, finance or audit as well as certifications such as CPA, FRM, CFA, ACA, or IIA, would be a distinct advantage

  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry in risk management (preferably operational risk) and/or internal controls – in-house or as external consultant – is a pre-requisite

  • Good understanding of regulatory environments and control frameworks and be up to date of the latest developments

  • Experience with the rollout and maintenance of risk and controls frameworks would be a distinct advantage

  • Ability to resolve conflicts, work with diverse cultures collaboratively, manage stakeholder sensitivities

  • Persistent, resilient and seeking self-development

  • Fluent written and spoken English skills

  • Additional company languages (German or Spanish) would be a distinct Advantage 


Additional Information

 

Primary work location is Zürich. The travel requirement is up to 10%.
