Your role:
Are you passionate about building robust and scalable relational databases systems?

If yes we are looking for someone like you to help us:
Transform business or IT driven projects into application architecture utilizing industry best practices and standards Thoroughly analyze business requirements. Conduct design and code reviews, implement solutions according to the software development life cycle
Organize and manage development effort within project scope. Promote cost effective and shared solutions. Report status with alarms; propose solutions. Asses project technical risk
Conduct component unit tests; support integration into larger subsystems.
Assist in resolving high-priority issues; deliver fixes to production
Provide secure, stable and fully operational solutions.
Collaborate with all our customers — your team colleagues, other application or global IT teams as well as with our business partners
Your team:
You will work in IT finance & controlling department in the accounting team in Zurich/ Switzerland. We are an international team responsible for one of the biggest UBS finance application.

Your expertise:
Very good Oracle database know-how (PL/SQL, Oracle 11g or higher)
Experience in batch processing of large data volumes including performance tuning
Very good analytical and design skills of IT solutions
At least 5 years of experience with Oracle incl. tuning
Being comfortable working independently and collaborative as a member of your team
Unix/Linux know-how and shell scripting
Comprehension of complex data structures
Experience in leading and managing technical projects is an advantage
fluent in English
