Your main responsibilities:

• Evaluation and development of new production processes in particular thin film processing, liquid dispensing, sealing and bonding, as well as automation and electronics integration processes.


• Analysis of failure modes (root cause analysis) and process parameter optimizations to improve yield and reliability in close collaboration with the R&D and production team.


• Planning, execution and reporting on process development activities, in support of new product developments or ramp-up projects.


• Design, qualify and install new and improved production and test equipment.


• Identification, assessment and validation of new assembly technologies and / or service providers.


• Process documentation and training of co-workers and operators.

Qualifications:

• BSc / MSc degree in engineering, physics or chemistry


• Experience in process development and fabrication, preferably in optics or semiconductor (MEMS) industry


• Strong hands-on knowledge and skills in MEMS, electronics or medtec processes (assembly, coating, dispensing) and preferably experienced in handling fluids and polymers at low dosing volumes


• Good supplier network and ability to challenge product and service providers


• Analytical and statistical problem solving skills (FMEA, RCA, DMAIC, 8D Methodology, etc).


• Must be proactive, well organized, flexible, autonomous, hands-on


• Good knowledge of German and English
