Your responsibilities
Establishes, directs, maintains and provides the leadership function of the HSE field of the integrated management system and for all related activities in order to deliver effective HSE performance
Analyses cause of accidents, near-accidents, violations of the health & safety requirements and advise the relevant departments in order to eliminate the root causes. Instigates and ensures adoption of the corrective actions into the company management system in collaboration with the affected Businesses as appropriate
Develops and introduces HSE initiatives to address shortcomings in behavioral culture, raise awareness of HSE related issues and generally achieve ‘buy in’ from senior management and employees
Develop policies for the deliverance of appropriate HSE training as identified though training needs analysis in order to deliver the HSE performance as directed by the CEO and ensure it is carried out and effective
Directly responsible for ensuring that company HSE system and supporting policies and procedures are fit for purpose, legally compliant in each region and are complied with throughout the companies organization
Responsible for the maintenance of all HSE related company certifications, (OHAS 45001, SCC, Achilles etc)
Your experiences
An understanding of the requirements of a robust and efficient Health & Safety System of an international company with a wide span of Businesses
Has an in depth and certified understanding of international health and safety laws, regulations and best practices covering office and construction site activities and the ability to set up processes to ensure the company is continually compliant
Self driven team player with enthusiasm and hands on mentality
Competent and experienced in line management of up to 10 people
Very good English language skills and additional language skills, particularly German, is a distinct advantage
