The AO Foundation is a medically guided, nonprofit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by a group of visionary surgeons, today, the AO has a global network of 200,000 health care professionals. Each year it offers over 830 educational events around the world, which are supported by nearly 9,000 faculty and are attended by over 58,000 participants. It has 20,000 surgeon members working in the fields of trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial (CMF), veterinary, and reconstructive surgery.

AO Clinical Investigation & Documentation (AOCID) is an institute of the AO Foundation and the provider of choice of the AO Community in clinical research, clinical research education, and health economics. We plan and execute the most pertinent clinical studies, design state-of-the-art clinical research education, and apply health economic techniques to validate current practice in the field of trauma and musculoskeletal disorders—all in compliance with the ICH GCP (E6) guidelines and ISO 14155 standards.



We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team in Dübendorf, Switzerland, as:


 


Project Manager Medical Writing 60%


After an initial introduction and training phase, you will:



  • Write and submit manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals

  • Be responsible for the revision/resubmission processes until the final acceptance of manuscripts for publication

  • Write final and interim clinical study reports for AOCID conducted clinical studies

  • Support the development of clinical study protocols

  • Develop abstracts and posters for presentations

  • Perform customer services such as systematic literature reviews, literature searches, developing regulatory documents, and reviewing and editing manuscripts

  • Adhere to AO Foundation house style for internal documents and provide general English/German language support


In order to master this challenge you have



  • completed your MD, DMD, DMV, or PhD in natural science

  • at least three years experience in medical/regulatory writing beyond the experience in scientific writing

  • good communication skills in both spoken and written English (preferably native speaker), German language capability is optional but highly aprecciated

  • good organizational skills and can work both indepentently and in a team

  • general computer literacy and working knowledge of typical office computer software
