What does the role involve?

In this challenging role you lead the Robotics and Visual Computing team. You are coaching and developing an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified team members. You’re responsible for a long-term research roadmap and it’s implementation , strategic resource planning and recruiting of talent into the organization. You leverage your internal and external network to foster Hilti’s long term differentiation by identifying and implementing relevant technology. With your inspirational leadership you foster an creative environment with sparking ideas and innovation.

What you need is:

• MSc/PhD in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, first industrial experience, at least 2 years in a R&D leadership position


• Interdisciplinary thinking and profound knowledge in several of the following fields: robotics, visual computing, machine learning, signal processing, electronics, sensors.


• Strong business orientation, proven ability to craft direction and create innovation with clear customer benefit


• Strong empathic leadership with effective communication skills and the ability to influence others
