Polyphor is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company based in Allschwil, Switzerland, and is
focused on the discovery and development of antibiotics and other specialty pharma products for
severe or life-threatening diseases.


We are currently looking for a:
Legal Specialist
Responsibilities:



  • Draft, revise and negotiate any type of contract including consultancy agreements,
    services agreements, supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, license
    agreements, from a legal point of view and in line with applicable regulations

  • Ensure Polyphor’s continuing compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory
    requirements including GDPR, SIX Swiss Exchange Regulation and existing contractual
    obligations

  • Advise business partners and gain the support of different stakeholders to drive desired
    outcomes

  • Fosters strong working relationships with internal clients and provide sound, practical, and
    responsive support

  • Initiate or lead cross-functional projects

  • Coordinate and oversee relationships with external consulting firms to ensure compliance
    with local regulations

  • Select and work with external counsel as required


Required qualifications:



  • University law degree (Master)

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a comparable position within the pharmaceutical
    industry or in-house working for a law firm consulting pharma companies

  • Experience in legal compliance & knowledge of GDPR


The successful candidate should also bring the following qualities:



  • Hands-on approach

  • Ability to develop detailed understanding of complex business operations

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize
    complex information and articulate recommendations clearly and concisely to a variety of
    business partners

  • Ability to draft concise and effective contractual documents and manage a large volume
    and variety of agreements (from simple amendments to complex agreements)

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on complex projects

  • Other desired personal qualities include: accurate and timely working ethic, strong self-
    motivation, commitment and accountability, ability to adapt to a fast-paced working
    environment.


The position will report to the CFO and will be based in our Allschwil offices. Ideal start would be
Q2/2019.
