Hardware Development Engineer Power Electronics

To strengthen our team at the office in Luterbach (Switzerland) we are looking for a/an

Hardware Development Engineer Power Electronics

Your tasks

• Drive innovation for new Power Electronic products and technologies


• Responsible for converting requirements into a product


• Development and realization of Power Electronic devices (e.g. inverters, filters, power supplies) from concept phase to acceptance test


• Simulation of power electronic circuits and related controls


• Technical responsibility in all phase of development (i.e. concept, specification, implementation testing and product introduction)


• Work with cross functional team to understand and capture hardware requirements


• Type testing and qualification (e.g. CE, UL) as well as creating and maintaining test specifications


• Supporting maintenance of existing products


• Acting as a technical interface with other internal teams, customers and suppliers


• Creating and maintaining technical documentation

Your profile

• University or equivalent degree in electrical engineering in the field of power electronics


• Proven experience in development and design of power electronic devices and systems


• Knowledge in control of power inverters


• Solid knowledge of design flow and product development processes


• Proven experience in testing, simulation and validation


• Self-motivated and ability to work independently


• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems


• International work experience


• Very good communication skills in English, German is an asset


• Willingness to travel within Europe and intercontinentally (ca. 20%)
