An opportunity to be a key part of the GBSS (Group Business Support Services) COO leadership team with specific responsibilities across 3 key areas as outlined below. GBSS delivers a broad and complex portfolio of real estate and business services to the bank.




1.  Service Management and Performance Management



  • Ownership of GBSS Service Catalogue with responsibility for defining and tracking the overall consolidated service offering of GBSS including involvement with overall service delivery strategies, delivery models, assignment of service criticality & service owners etc.

  • Definition of strategy & ongoing management and reporting framework for GBSS managed costs including transparency of fully loaded cost of services, measurement of consumption, cost of space, etc (partnering closely with Finance)


2. Vendor Management



  • Develop Vendor management framework across GBSS: Governance, scope, process, reporting, roles and responsibilities, evaluation of sypplier risk etc.


3. Business Partnering (BP)



  • BP Strategy & Integration team Leadership

  • Provide transparency to Business Divisions with regards to the GBSS Financials, initiatives, service performance and in general all items handled by GBSS impacting the Divisions through preparation of regular Business Reviews

  • Drive and support cost reduction plans in collaboration with Divisions and GBSS SME’s through specific cost initiatives


You Offer

 

  • You bring at least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position ideally within the banking industry

  • You have previous experience of leading a team 

  • You have a proven track record of leading and setting the change agenda to continuously evolve service offerings

  • You have good judgement and common sense in decision-making combined with solid principles of good conduct and ethics behavior

  • You demonstrate sound understanding of service and vendor management 

  • You have also have a good understanding of the GBSS offering within which the role operates as well as strong analytical skills in combination with excellent communications skills 

  • You bring the confidence and the ability to work with the executive management combined with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
