Sustainability Manager

The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for developing the sustainability strategy and for managing the sustainability programs required to achieve the commitments defined in the strategy. She/he drives the implementation of the sustainability targets and agenda throughout the business to ensure that the company’s performance is in line with legal requirements and stakeholder expectations.

 

Your Responsibilities:
  

• Strategy, Targets & KPIs
  Developing and implementing the environmental sustainability strategy for products and operations. Defining respective operational targets and monitoring framework
   


• Sustainability Management System
  Developing & maintaining system to ensure environmental performance tracking and reporting and conduct reporting to the board
   


• Sustainability in Innovation Management
  Develop targets for responsible rinovation, provide tools and processes to evaluate and monitor the sustainability profile of our product portfolio and guide the decision making process to ensure target achievement. Ensure expert advice on product sustainability based on scientific evidence.
   


• Responsible Sourcing
  Develop and implement sourcing strategy framework for critical and meaningful material with purchasing. Coach purchasing to develop programs to ensure target achievement 
   


• Responsible operations
  Develop strategies, targets and steer respective programs with regards to the environmental impact of our global operations (climate & energy, waste, water)
   


• Environmental Compliance and risk management
  Defining and implementing global environmental standards and pro-actively ensure compliance with all relevant regulations; Development of Audit program and monitoring of the follow-up processes.
   


• Leadership
  Providing guidance, motivation and development for all employees contributing to efforts in this area. Lead the network of sustainability experts and key contributors to environmental sustainability. Educate the company at key level regarding sustainability and all its aspects. Driving cultural change.

  

Your Profile:

• Degree in environmental sciences, biology, chemistry or equivalent


• 10 years of sustainability experience


• Strong analytical skills


• Strong in managing ambiguity and highly diverse networks


• High level of persistence and conflict management, skills to overcome resistance


• Strong external network and ability to influence a broad group of stakeholders


• Strong communication skills in English
