In this linking function you will guide the suppliers to understand and implement proper requirements for integration into a series production. In-house you have to explain und influence the R&D to implement design practices coherent with the cleanliness strategy you have set up. You will also teach and build up the internal competencies in production to follow the cleanliness and contamination control plans you write on your own.

Your responsibilities



  • Lead all cleanliness topics in the department and supporting other project functions (Design, analysis, manufacturing, procurement etc.) in their work

  • Make trade-offs about cleanliness related decisions, and where needed, present your trade-offs to RUAG’s customers

  • Develop and prove processes meeting the cleanliness requirements of RUAG’s customers

  • Qualification of dry and wet cleaning processes as well the corresponding verification methods

  • Establishment of cleaning and clean room instructions and execution of trainings

  • Analysis of a molecular and particular contamination budget based on acquired data and inputs from manufacturing

  • Setup of cleaning equipment for aqueous based wet cleaning as well as bake out including residual gas analysis

  • Assuring long term success by installing robust cleanliness processes in the production line of EUVL products


Your profile



  • University Degree in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science.

  • PHD in the field of cleanliness is mandatory

  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of precision cleaning in Semiconductor, Space or Medical Industry

  • Expertise in understanding of wet cleaning processes, methods of Mass Spectroscopy and Residual Gas Analysis (XPS, FTIR)

  • Expertise in fallout measurement technologies, thermal vacuum systems, bake out and plasma cleaning

  • Basic understanding in wet chemistry related to alkaline, acidic and neutral wet cleaning

  • Good social skills and a sense for an economic environment
