Roche Centralised and Point of Care Solutions (CPS) provide integrated cobas branded solutions for blood testing in commercial and hospital labs, medical centers and laboratory networks. Our products and solutions support health care professionals in clinical decision making in a wide field of indications including, cardiovascular, hematology, infectious diseases, metabolism, oncology and women’s health.


To support the Clinical Science Team within the Medical and Scientific Affairs organization of our Business Area Centralized and Point of Care Solutions (CPS), we are looking for a Clinical Scientist in Internal Medicine.  Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):



  • Supporting digital solutions teams in the development of clinical decision support solutions

  • Translate clinical diagnostic needs into performance requirements for digital diagnostic tests solutions (product requirements)

  • Supporting working groups and participating in initiatives/task forces with focus on development of clinically differentiating IVDs in clinical practice

  • Design and implement clinical/diagnostics pathways, clinical algorithms and medical content in assigned disease areas

  • Liaise and communicate with CPS’s Digital Health Solutions team, Life Cycle Team functions and Affiliates on scientific, methodological and clinical components of Roche Digital products, as well as sponsored and supported studies

  • Support in preparing relevant clinical development documents (e.g. clinical development plan, design validation plan, study protocol, study report, study publication, informed consent, study site qualification forms)


This role requires following qualifications:



  • Natural science or medical degree (MD or PhD or PharmD) preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in Internal Medicine (endocrinology/metabolism as a plus)

  • Experience in clinical science, clinical algorithms, and clinical pathways

  • Interest and conceptual understanding of digital solutions (e.g. clinical decision support)

  • Knowledge in diagnostic solutions, biometry, statistics/data science, medical informatics are a plus

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

  • Ability to build and foster multidisciplinary global relationships

  • Ability to interface with physicians +and other clinicians on an international basis

  • Ability to interface with digital products teams (e.g. product leaders, development teams)

  • Willing and able to travel 25%
