Settlements Cash Securities are responsible for the timely settlement and reconciliation of securities trades and related monies for Group Ops entities over numerous business units. Product scope includes listed securities on respective exchanges, fixed income debt products, notes, new issues, equity and bonds. Trade scope extends to broker dealer, agency and third bank parties. Market focus is for several markets including Switzerland, EuroClear, Far East, APAC, Europe and Americas (north and south). Further responsibility is also assisting COE location in Mumbai in detailed questions, settlement clarification and risk minimization.
We offer
Trade pre-matching including (where applicable) communication with counterparties, agent banks and internal teams to resolve trade mismatches
Risk orientated control of receive, delivery and cash instructions
Fail management including timely matching, stock borrowing requests, fail coding and narration
Settlement or payment instruction creation (including fees and discounts) where STP is not enabled
Exception handling of complex transactions and exotic markets
Timely critical issue of control or risk issues to management
Reconciliation of depot and nostro accounts including timely resolution of breaks and narration
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts, inter-systems including FOBOs and exchange/clearing reconciliations (where applicable)
Stakeholder management including liaison with Trading, Sales, Client Service Reps, Trade Management, Finance, Product Control and Group Ops colleagues
Follow procedures and checklists and raise to management when exceptions or changes are identified
Identify, bring up and help implement control and efficiency improvements
Control and support of CoE team in Mumbai
Professional support and based on partnership for our institutional clients, counter parties related to delivery /receive and payments for exchange transactions
Control of cash and safekeeping account for derivates (CCP)
Control of internal cash account
