The research focus of the high-voltage laboratory is in the area of future electric power transmission technology. We are an international and interdisciplinary team from currently six countries and we're seeking to hire a laboratory supervisor.Laboratory Supervisor The task of the laboratory supervisor is to maintain, upgrade and regularly modernize the infrastructure in the laboratories of the high voltage engineering group, to support and drive the research of the group by conceptually and concretely designing experimental setups, supporting the group leader in safety related duties, and to support the group teaching activities. The successful candidate has graduated from a university (technical or applied sciences) and has a proven track record of working in a high voltage laboratory for 5-10 years. The experience must go beyond the sole operation of high voltage equipment or supervision of laboratory staff. She/he is motivated and interested in working within an interdisciplinary research group on a variety of topics, can work independently with a large freedom to operate and is very well organized. She/he speaks English on a level that allows efficient communication with the researchers in the group and German to interact with local staff.
