What is this position about:

In this role you will lead the soybean pipeline to our crush plants in EU to ensure that all plants have sufficient stocks to run whilst minimizing costs; you will sell soybeans to 3rd parties in EU and Egypt and make logistical arrangements to ensure smooth execution.

 

By liaising with multiple stakeholders to coordinate the soymeal import program to EU you will generate revenue by ensuring that we have the most efficient supply routes and stocks in the right place at the right time.

 

With our teams based in the Black Sea you will decide the strategy to originate and export soybeans, always assessing the most profitable destinations for these beans.

 

In addition, you will handle the cash and freight market risk around the above physical flows, defining and executing a trading game plan that will generate consistent revenue for the business. You will also be expected to propose new market opportunities for our existing products and potentially new products.

Qualifications

 

What you will bring to Cargill (Required):

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in agricultural cash trading business


• Fluency in English


• Confirmed cash trading ability.


• Ability of clarifying, challenging and turning S/D and other analyses into trading strategies and game plans, etc.


• Strong time management skills.


• Strong networking skills preferably well-connected to the external soya market.


• Knowledge of freight market and terms of business.


• Mature and solid interpersonal & communication skill.


• Strategic mindset and partnership skill with internal & external partners.


• Ability to influence others outside of reporting lines.


• A strong risk appetite and risk tolerance.


• Passionate, energetic, resilient, adaptable, candid, open, decisive and able to learn.
