Chain IQ is a young company which is growing rapidly and has a Greenfield opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist role to drive the companies BI Strategy/Master Data Management governance forward. The role identifies BI, data analytics, enables Master Data Management and reporting needs for Chain IQ internally and for Client requirements.
Data analytics are a key enabler for Procurement. The role involves development new of smart technologies and algorithms to allow for the aggregation, processing and analysis of very large volumes of data from heterogeneous sources and the governance of such data.
Analyzing data and using the output smartly is one of the key success factors for our company. You will work closely with internal business partners, clients and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. It is essential that you build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables him/her to identify and address critical issues and key success factors. You are required to provide accurate, congruent and reliable data in a timely manner, and will ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.
You will educate and train business users and clients to use the data within an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration.

Your main responsibilities:
- Directs, organizes, and leads BI work stream projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems
- Provides subject matter expertise for key BI core functions (Master Data Management, Data Governance)
- Participates in work stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions
- Conducts analyses of functional business processes and functional requirements and participates in development of business cases in the support of process changes and/or IT projects, with focus on the data management perspective
- Evaluates internal and external customers’ needs and abilities and liaises with clients in order to provide appropriate solutions
- Provides input to business requirement for the design of solutions
- Has a seat on the Chain IQ Innovation Lab that identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the enterprise wide BI systems the services provided to clients
- Advises executives on how BI (processes, practices and technologies) play a critical role in improving business management and optimization
- Explores data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends
- Researches business opportunities and issues and creates models that help analyze them respectively
- Develops best practices for analytics deployments
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master degree / ideally in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or specialized training/certification
- Typically 3+ years of Business Analysis or related technical experience
- Knowledge of the Procurement/Procurement BPO industry and multiple business functional areas

- Able to explain complex relationships and solutions in terms that meet the needs of the affected parties
- Anticipates long-term opportunities across various areas and associated risk levels with objective rationale
- Proven track record in writing strategic documents and creates/delivers presentations to multiple stakeholders
- Articulate with strong communication skills and gravitas to influence a wide range of different stakeholders and peers with sound, clear arguments
- Analytical and conceptual mind-set with the ability to seek a consensus with business leaders
- Experienced in conducting requirements engineering, seeking to understand the client’s needs, provide solutions and maintain relationships. Show an awareness of products and services from various business divisions relevant to own work area.
- Project Management experience, incl. management of resources and time-scales in a structured and transparency way
