For further growth and strengthening of our NIR portfolio we are looking for an additional team member. Your primary task is to participate in NIR development projects, with a particular focus on NIR data analytics and development of NIR global calibration models. For these tasks, you take into account the view of the customer at all times. Tasks in brief are:

• Active participation in the NIR application development cycle (from sample collection to NIR application deployment) and NIR technology projects


• NIR legacy data collection and handling


• Close cooperation with the Data-, Product-  and Project Managers


• Generate performance specifications for NIR applications and implement them in final products


• Generate NIR application notes and specific documents for market launches or scientific publications


• Provide support to internal/external product managers and sales teams on global NIR calibrations and data handling for laboratory and at-line NIR instruments, also during internal and external NIR trainings (occasional international travel)

You have a background in (NIR) spectroscopy including applications and technology, preferably on a Master level or comparable. Deep understanding of data analysis, chemometrics and verifiable knowledge in (NIR) spectroscopy application development such as a track record in scientific writing/publishing are required. Similar or complementary technologies e.g. mid-infrared or Raman spectroscopy are an advantage. Experience or affinity for state of the art statistics/modelling software or programming languages such as “R” or experience in database handling are an asset. Very good communication and presentation skills in English and German (spoken and written) accompany your conceptual and analytic skills.
