IT System Administrator / Supporter (Zurich)

We offer an attractive position to join our team in Zurich, Switzerland, to collaborate with our internal team as well as outsourcing partners to provide a high quality and reliable IT service for our employees as well as our clients in the financial industry.

The role:

• Responsibility for central and decentralized hard- and software


• Installation and configuration of hard- and software as well as web applications


• Maintenance of patch and security management of servers and client devices


• Monitoring of server, storage and network systems


• Error analysis of hard- and software problems and provision of solutions


• Maintenance of documentation and training material in regards of internal infrastructure


• Support for employees in the office and via remote support for any IT related questions


• Documentation of Incidents in the internal ticketing System


• User administration (Identity Lifecycle Management)


• Support of the IT-management in regards of the yearly budget planning


• Design and development of Backup and Disaster Recovery concepts


• Participation in planning, coordination and implementation of internal IT projects

Your skills:

You have successfully completed professional education in the IT area and have previous job experience with a minimum of five years in IT system administration and support. Solid Microsoft foundation with specialist know-how in Windows Client and Server technology. A passion for sharing your knowledge and experience and helping to create a great team environment. Ability to prioritize across various tasks, manage changes in daily workload, and operate under several simultaneous deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills as well as reliability, dependability, and strong motivation to respond to requests quickly and provide user-friendly solution. Very good English skills in spoken as well as written.

• Operating Systems: Windows Client, Windows Server, Oracle Enterprise Linux


• Scripting: Scripting know-how and experience in PowerShell or .NET preferred


• Network administration: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, Firewall, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP


• Databases: Oracle DB, MSSQL


• Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V


• Cloud: Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS
