We are looking for a motivated Student (Bachelor or Master level) to join our team at Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) Pharmaceutical Sciences. We are a group of Genetic & Genomic experts working in close collaboration with scientists, statisticians and bioinformatics specialists in exploratory as well as clinical projects in the field of Oncology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Ophthalmology, Neuroscience and Rare Diseases. We perform a variety of genomic analyses for safety and toxicology evaluations, discovery and assessment of new targets and biomarkers, as well as understanding disease mechanisms.

During your internship you will:

• support portfolio relevant activities 


• contribute to development, testing and implementation of novel methods


• gain insight of other activities in our department, such as genomic analyses for safety and toxicology evaluations, discovery and assessment of new targets and biomarkers, as well as understanding disease mechanisms

We are looking for the following background and skills: 

• currently enrolled in university (Bachelor or Master programme)


• some expertise in Molecular Biology (DNA, RNA extraction; PCR), bioinformatics, cell culture or Next-Generation Sequencing technologies (eg Illumina) 


• background in one of the aforementioned disease areas


• fluent in English

Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents.
