Integration Engineer- Middleware Administrator 

Job description

The position will be responsible for configuring, operating, deploying and building the Integration Platform Solutions and Infrastructure developed with Swatch Group Integration Frameworks using Software AG Digital Business Integration Platform (Web methods, Optimize) and MS SQL Databases.

The position will be responsible for middleware system administration and deployment with focus on automation and proactive alerting to avoid any potential outages. This role will be responsible for chain of continuous integration, delivery, testing and monitoring of Integration Platform and Solutions.

 

Your responsibilities

• Configuration of integration solutions based on Swatch Group Integration Framework in order to deploy interfaces for new partners and use cases.


• Managing the rollouts and deployments of integration solutions in a very agile environment


• Monitoring the integration platform components and checking availability and overall platform health with high-focus on automation and proactive alerting


• Performance tuning of the integration platform and solutions


• Operational support of the integration solutions with objective on helping partners to use platform self-service features


• Scaling the platform with automation and continuous improvement to manage the platform growth

Profile

• Technically qualified in the Information technology field (IT degree or Master's degree)


• At least 2-3 years of experience with middleware system administration based on Linux and any Java based EAI platform is a must.


• Experience in Software AG Webmethods as System Administrator will be a plus


• Experience of managing complex continuous integration (CI) and deployment workflows with various tools including Jenkins, Ant, SVN


• Experience with various communication protocols such as HTTP(S), FTP(S), AS2


• Expertise in operating applications in Unix based environments- shell scripting and Java based environments- JVM profiling and Thread management


• Ability to work in a team and independently


• Good analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English and French, German will be an asset


• Will need to provide on-call support as needed for the department.

Professional requirements

• Technically qualified in the Information technology field (IT degree or Master's degree)


• At least 2-3 years of experience with middleware system administration based on Linux and any Java based EAI platform is a must.

Languages

• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English and French, German will be an asset
