Job description


We are looking for an experienced Agile Coach who will drive Agile principles and mindset into our growing Software Development team. As an Agile Coach / Scrum Master, you will be responsible for applying and promoting Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban or scaled Agile. You will coach our Software Development team and organization to understand and enact Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values.


Your responsibilities



  • Guide, coach and serve the Product Owners, the Development Teams and the Organization as defined in the Scrum Guide

  • Develops, tracks and monitors Agile metrics on things that impact value driven delivery and indicate potential problems, assisting teams in implementing solutions to those problems.

  • Assist in resolving impediments that prevent Agile teams from completing sprint commitments.

  • Define and coach team members about Agile techniques and artefacts like User stories, Story mapping, Scrum Poker, Velocity, etc.

  • Leading and continuously improving the agile adoption within the team and the organization

  • Ensures observance of DoD (Definition of done)

  • Identifies organizational impediments to successful Agile transformation and work with the leadership team to create effective strategies to overcome them.

  • Uses the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool to prepare, communicate, and share team metrics and delivery results

  • Coaches the writing of value-driven user stories, features, and epics, and maintains a well-refined backlog


Profile



  • Bachelor / Master degree level or equivalent graduate in Information Technology

  • 5+ years Scrum Master / Agile Coach role experience in any well-known software environment

  • Certified Scrum Master

  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches like SAFe, XP, Scrumban, Lean, etc

  • Demonstrable experience in effective estimation and planning using the velocity.

  • Strong experience working with agile techniques like writing effective User Stories, leading Story Mapping and Scrum Poker sessions, CI/CD, TDD, automated testing, etc.

  • Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts

  • Track record of continued and recent education in Agile/Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft ALM TFS and GIT is an asset

  • Coaching Certification a plus (ICP-ACC, Co-Active, ORSC, CEC, CTC)

  • Must possess leadership and mentoring skills and personality

  • Service orientation, team worker, self-teaching and open-minded

  • Enjoyment, motivation and passion to work in an software development team using Agile principles

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in an international environment

  • Languages: English fluently, French and any additional languages are an asset
