High School Psychology Teacher

Main Purpose of the Role:


 


We are seeking a Psychology teacher to join our Anglophone High School (including IBDP and AP programmes) to teach approximately28 periods of 40 minutes per week, plus required cover and supervision duties (a full-time post consists of 28 teaching periods. The estimated start date of this position is August 2019.


The successful candidate will be a team player and will join a dynamic department of teaching staff in a highly motivating international setting.


All candidates must be the holder of a relevant university degree and a teaching qualification. Previous experience of teaching Psychology in the IBDP and AP programmes is an advantage. The ability to use and integrate ICT in the curriculum is expected.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Useand develop the existing resources to teach Psychology in the Anglophone High school

  • Useand develop the existing resources to teach Psychology  in the IBDP and AP programmes

  • Provide Subject Support in psychology

University Degree in Psychology

Teaching qualification.

 

Experience

Some teaching experience.

Previous experience in an international school setting.

Previous experience of teaching IBDPPsychology and/or AP Psychology

Prior Skills and Knowledge

Good rapport with students

Good organizational skills.

ICT literacy, both with educational tools and mainstream software.

English mother tongue or equivalent fluency.

Good communication skills.

Working knowledge of French.

Additional skills

 

Must be able to work as part of a team.

Ability to work to tight deadlines.
