Migration Expert/Engineer

For our location in Zurich or Bern we are looking for a Migration Expert/Engineer.

In this role

As part of the project, the Migration Expert is the middle man between the business analysis, the development team and the offshore migration team. He/she understands the requirements of the business analysis and transforms this to a migration specification for the offshore migration team.

 

• You’re the middle man between the business analysis, the development team and the offshore migration team


• You understand the requirements of the business analysis and write the specification for the offshore migration team


• You perform comprehensive tests to make sure that the data is correctly migrated


• You analyze bug reports and delegate them to the corresponding team


• You participate in optimizing the performance of the overall migration process


• You improve existing and introduce new processes to optimize the work of the migration team and to ensure a high quality of the results


• You report regularly the progress and issues to the management

About your profile

• We are looking for a candidate with an academic degree, who is able to work independently and structured


• You have excellent communication skills in German and English. French language skills are an advantage


• You have a background with at least 2-3 years of experience in working with databases (e.g. MSSQL)


• You have profound knowledge and practical experience in software development


• Experience with C# is an advantage


• You feel comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams


• You are an entrepreneurial thinker and you are motivated to accompany IT solutions from idea to successful implementation


• Hands-on experience in the usage of tools for ETL (e.g. Rhino ETL) and automatization (e.g. Jenkins) are an advantageYou can understand, document and explain complex business logic
