The Case Investigation & Resolution (CIR) department supporting cobas® 6800/8800 and cobas p 680 Systems (Hardware, Software and workflows) performs global case handling on customer inquiries and complaints about molecular diagnostics systems in commercial and hospital labs.

In this exciting position in an international environment, you will be working alongside global case handling experts and, under their guidance, you will assist with the evaluation, investigation and resolution of customer complaints and inquiries for hardware or software issues.

You will be covering the following key responsibilities:

• Perform case handling of customer inquiry and complaint cases for our systems (cobas® 6800/8800 and cobas® p 680 Systems)


• Routine communication in the case handling IT system with affiliates worldwide for the information request, case status updates and final conclusion.


• Identification and verification of root cause by executing routine investigations.


• Representation and communication on status of individual cases in CIR team or interfacing meetings.


• Maintain own formal training up to date (highly regulated industry requirement).

Ideally, you fulfill the following criteria:​ ​

• You are currently enrolled or have recently graduated from university with a degree in Engineering (mechanical, biomedical, electrical, electronics or equivalent), IT or Biotechnology.


• You have a strong technical orientation with robust organization skills, problem-solving, troubleshooting capabilities and a strong interest in learning cutting-edge medical technologies 


• You have a sense of urgency to find timely resolution and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks if needed.


• You have a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment


• You have good communication and interpersonal skills and you can communicate your ideas easily to varied audiences.


• You have fluent spoken and written English (knowledge of German is a plus)

Start date: May 2019

Duration: 6-9 months
