On behalf of our client, we are looking for a motivated Senior Product Engineer who is passionate about the automotive industry. Our client is a global operating company which manufactures and exports automotive products worldwide.
 
Your responsibilities:
 

• Planning and executing local and/or global project activities related to the product development (new product introduction and qualification of test process follows the requirements of the IATF 16949 and customer standards)


• Developing and managing product roadmap and issuing recommendations for planning and prioritization


• Leading product development and managing the whole marketing communication from concept to launch


• Analyzing and documenting automotive market trends, competitive landscape and customer needs


• Conducting in-depth risk analyses and assessments


• Leading interdisciplinary projects and managing life-cycle of the product portfolio

 

Your profile:

 

• A technical university degree or similar formulation. MBA preferred


• At least four years of professional experience in product management in an international manufacturing environment (preferably in the design of electrical engineering applications in low and middle voltage in the automotive industry)


• Excellent knowledge of all automotive standards, quality requirements and main manufacturing processes (e.g. ISO/TS 16949, VDA, ISO 9001, ISO 14000)


• Experience in strategic planning and business development in the automotive area (e.g. in the cable sector or affinity with cabling solutions)


• Excellent analytical thinking and a clear understanding of the overall context of a company


• Proficient understanding of electronic technology, implementation processes, strategic marketing and product marketing


• Strong leadership skills across a broader variety of functions and geographies


• Strong negotiation skills with customers addressing technical problems


• Excellent communication in English and German both verbal and written, any other language of advantage


• Independent and goal-oriented way of working


• Entrepreneurial vision and positive work attitude


• Willingness to travel on business occasionally
