Planning and Logistics Manager
The position is responsible for the physical logistics at loading and unloading stations as well as for the management of the storage warehouse. The responsibility includes Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale in the in the complete area. Making sure that the standards are kept and continuously improved in line with the working processes of IL6S. This function includes also leading, developing and motivating all logistic employees on site.
Your main responsibilities include:
Deliver short-term production plans in daily buckets (production scheduling), taking into account the sales demands, the dependent demand requirements of other manufacturing or co-packing locations in constant dialogue with the the Category Supply Planning team
Ensure the right material is available at the right time and the right spot to ensure smooth production on a 24/7 basis
Ensure shipment of planned finished or semi-finished goods within the agreed time-frame while maintaining compliance with customs requirements and managing drawbacks
Manage Planning and Shipping & Customs Team as well as the logistics team by supervising and guiding their work, providing with relevant information, coaching and development
Actively support the plant’s journey on Integrated Lean Six Sigma by representing the planning and shipping part and optimize the E2E flow
Lead and support projects that are touching the plant's logistics, including trials, provide resources to the project teams, supervise the milestones and results of the projects, support trainings
Ensure all data (e.g. SAP, Manugistics) is maintained and aligned in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications
Master degree in logistics or management
Minimum 5-year experience in production planning in international FMCG manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of supply chain processes together with a comprehensive economical, financial education or experience
A diploma/certificate in customs declarance
Computer literacy and SAP APO Key User
Practical knowledge of the supply chain processes in food production
Experience in local/foreign trade (import documents, quality certificates) and in warehouse management
Fluent English skills and German/French language skills
Continuous improvement mindset and solid understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles
People leadership experience or strong a people management potential
Very good communication skills and ability to act as trustworthy partner for various partners on different levels in the organization
Strong analytical skills
