This position as IBM Technical Power Systems Specialist offers you the opportunity for a great start in the trend setter company IBM for cognitive systems business. It is a senior position where we need your engagement in an enterprise environment also with very large Swiss and international clients.



You have the responsibility for IBM Power Systems (Power Systems: AIX, I, Linux) Switzerland with ownership to manage technical key relationships, understanding the client's situation and projects, and developing new strategic projects with technical / architecture counterparts. The ideal candidate has Linux experience.



You will become active member of the Swiss / IBM Linux membership in open source community.

You get the chance to profit of expert education - for technical and also for sales.



Detailed tasks:

- Supporting power sales and BP to develop technical power solutions - with special focus on new business.

- Bring your broad know-how in container / cloud / analytics to expand business of existing power clients.

- work overall Switzerland with our clients on your own / with high independence to make our clients happy.

- 50% remote work with our clients / BP.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise





  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in country language as well as in English

  • Technical know-how on IBM Power plattform. Best with AIX, i and Linux as operating system.

  • - experience as power admin for different operating systems.

  • - Experience in solving complex technical problems in IT architecture

  • - Track record of nurturing large enterprise accounts with multiple departments at different levels

  • - Maturity to work on your own

  • - High interest to work / learn on new business with existing and new clients - specifically for subjects like cloud, analytics, open source.

  • - Experience and deep know-how with linux (SUSE & RedHat)

  • - Experience with Big Data and Container solutions (docker)

  • - Effective in teaming with other IBM sales and technical sales resources (up to global lab's) .
