Senior Developer Apparel

The Opportunity


Product excellence and innovation is at the heart of our success. The Development manager will responsible for driving this creation and leading the development to bring real product to life. With a process, detail orientated mind coupled with a passion for innovation this position will be part of the creation of tomorrows effortless running apparel. You will have several years working in development with experience in leading teams through long complexed processes. You'll look at challenges and take initiative to fix them striving for best in class product always pushing for better. 


Key responsibilities include:



  • Build an apparel collection that pushes the boundaries of apparel & accessories innovation responding to the needs of ON runners fusing the unrieveled function with timeless styling  

  • Champion process’s, constantly improving, tweaking and building upon the current process

  • Own and develop ON Performance Running Gear

  • Develop and improve the ON fit bringing instant pull on comfort to all garments

  • Lead innovation projects with the Head of Apparel

  • Create calendar with Head of Apparel and own all development dates 

  • Manage and own the overall product development process from planning, up till salesmen sample that meet milestones calendar.

  • Oversee every aspect of product development bringing great value to products throughout brands mission, design and quality.

  • Be the in-house expert lead on fabric innovation working closely with mills and challenge design to use these innovations

  • Liaise with Product Manager to identify product needs in terms of the line size, commercial market needs and product delivery schedules as well as product sales performance.

  • Build a strong relationship with key strategic business partners; suppliers and garment vendors.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to staff, setting goals and provide feedback and guidance to increase both individual and team productivity.

 

Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree or above in fashion design and merchandising

  • International experience is a must

  • Be the true embodiment of a team player

  • Able to work at a fast pace and think and react quickly with the ever changing environment

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in development with at least 3 years in managerial level

  • Apparel experience with a strong background in different areas

  • Multi categories of design and development, manufacturing and sourcing

  • Strong communication and presentation skills as well as market knowledge

  • Share in our passion for switching ON out on the run or what ever your chosen activities are

  • Good technical sense on fabric, material, fitting washing development

  • Hands on experience in Adobe illustrator, photoshop & Microsoft Office
