We are now looking for someone to help us continue to serve on our purpose to build novel, patient-centric solutions.


Reporting to the Global Head of Diabetes Care and acting as a Chief of Staff, the Head of the Program Management Office (PMO) & Strategy Support will play a key role in the Diabetes Care LT agendas in line with the strategic agenda and will facilitate optimal meeting efficiency by adopting the role of Master of Ceremonies.


As the Head of PMO & Strategy Support you will be responsible together with your team for providing the Diabetes Care Leadership Team, particularly the Global Head of Diabetes Care, with program support, analysis and presentations for internal and external communications, including the DCLT, the Board of Directors, CEC/Senior Management, investors, the Roche Europe Forum and employees. This includes driving projects and implementing specific DC and cross-divisional initiatives and events aligned with agreed timelines in support of the DC strategy implementation.


In this role you will assume the following key responsibilities:



  • Lead and coordinate teams designated to manage divisional strategic initiatives of broad relevance to the division

  • Support the Global Head of Diabetes Care and the DCLT, coordinating division-wide market and competitive intelligence activities

  • Support the DPC in planning (agenda, minutes) and driving portfolio relevant processes e.g. segment/cross-segment reviews

  • Support the divisional finance partner during the business planning process and structure the divisional strategy process

  • Cooperate closely and exchange with peer group on assessments and strategy work

  • Budget and people responsibility

What do you need in your toolbox?



  • MBA and/or PhD in life sciences is desirable

  • You have 2-5 years’ experience in strategy consulting (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain)

  • Experience in healthcare industry required, preferably in Diabetes Care, Diagnostics or Pharma industry

  • Significant project management experience strongly preferred

  • You have excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen

  • Ability to influence and gain alignment from senior leadership (DCLT, Franchise Leads etc.)

  • Strong communication skills; ability to transfer analysis, concepts and ideas into convincing communication

  • Ability to boil down complex topics to simple and condensed messages

  • You quickly grasp complex scientific concepts and translate them into written communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead teams in a complex, matrix organization

  • You are highly flexible, with proven ability to adhere to challenging deadlines whilst delivering high quality work
