The "Quality Control for Commercial Bulk Products" department is responsible for the quality control of commercial products and active ingredients. Our group, within Analytical Science and Technology of this department, has the task of analyzing complaints and counterfeits of ROCHE products. We are currently offering a six-month paid internship position starting from the beginning of February 2019 for the "Detection of low concentrated compounds in counterfeits and complaints of medicinal products".

When you join our young, diverse and dynamic environment, you'll be involved in very interesting study topics and you'll have the chance to get a valuable professional experience using latest high-tech technologies.

During the internship you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Analysis of particles and foreign matter by the means of FT-IR spectroscopy and SEM-EDX


• Development of analytical methods for the detection and analysis of low-concentrated compounds in counterfeit medicines (tablets, capsules, liquids) using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy and Raman imaging

We are looking for a highly motivated, extraordinary and hardworking person who is still enrolled in a master’s program in chemistry (or equivalent). If you bring as well the following skills and competencies we are looking forward to receiving your application.

• Experience in analytical techniques, preferably in spectroscopy


• A professional English level and basic knowledge of German. French would be an advantage.


• You are motivated, flexible, independent and open to and curious about new technologies
