Roche Pharma Switzerland is an important partner in the Swiss healthcare system and covers marketing & sales, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, market access, reimbursement and quality assurance for Roche medicines in Switzerland. Roche Pharmaceuticals Switzerland has been based in Reinach, BL since 1992 and has around 170 employees.  

As Disease Area Lead (DAL), you have the role of the „General Manager“of the area Personalized Healthcare, you will lead the cross-functional team in a matrix environment and drive the cross-functional strategy. The DAL owns the development and implementation of an integrated Personalized Healthcare strategy (including brand/portfolio/innovative initiatives plans (digital ones included) from pre-launch, launch etc. including various partners and stakeholders.

In addition, you will

• Take the lead of the Cross-Functional Team (CFT), ensuring cross functional collaboration & alignment between the different CFT members and other partners


• Able to take decisions driven by a cross-functional perspective, irrespective and independent from personal functional expertise and line management responsibilities


• Take the lead of the Functional team, ensuring proper staffing & development.


• Aligning, motivating and inspiring others to work in accordance with the broader therapeutic area and overall Pharma and Roche strategies and goals in the PHC field


• Develop, implement and adjust (if necessary) the cross functional disease area strategy plan (as documented in the Annual Integrated Brand Plan, AIBP) with a customer centric mindset

The key skills include:

• University Degree in Sciences and/or Business Administration


• Matrix leadership required, people-management experience preferred


• Minimum of 5 years of operational experience in different disciplines in a pharmaceutical company


• In depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, the scientific, regulatory and medical environment, and compliance requirements


• Launch experience new molecules / indications preferred


• Experience in leading partnerships, co-promotions etc.


• Strong cross-functional and communication skills with the ability to lead engage and influence at different levels of the organization and beyond (partners, networks etc.)


• Fluency in German and English
