Provide technical support to labs and start-ups of the EPFL eco-system and more generally in Western Switzerland
Define and apply for R&D projects with academic partners (maxon internal / Innosuisse / EU)
Manage joint R&D projects with academies and startups
Launch and coach Bachelor/Master works at miLab (maxon Innovation Lab)
Support to strategic analysis of potential markets and business cases
Present in technical conferences/fairs
Teach in technical specialized courses (up to postgrad level)
Manage the miLab workshop
Deputy to miLab Manager
Your profile
PhD or Engineering Master in the field of mechatronics - motion control
Academic research (PhD level) or (Master Level) 5+ years of industrial experience of development or support to mechatronics systems including motion control
English (spoken and written), German and French is an asset
Personal competences: passion for technology, ease with hands-on activities, humancentered, ease with students, good communication skills (oral and written), customer and business oriented, independent, responsive, assertive
