Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering / Computer Sc. / Data Science / Mathematics / Physics / Economy.
2 years+ of relevant working experience in the front office/research department of a trading house or financial institution. Previous exposure to agri commodities is a plus
Your tasks include but are not limited to: • Take responsibility for research on Panamax vessels carrying mainly grains, coal and iron ore. • Maintain and improve a database of commodity flows • Be the main point of contact with the internal grains research team • Structure proprietary information into in-house data sets • Backtest fundamental indicators to identify factors influencing Freight price • Liaise (on daily basis) with traders and other research analysts to bring new insights to trading strategies • Design the value-added visualization and predictive features which will assist the department in making trading decisions • Develop a view on Freight price and share it with traders • Prepare presentations to the Freight platform • Participate in the platform's innovation center which analyses big and/or unstructured datasets. The successful candidate will enjoy project responsibility, exposure to senior management and the ability to play a key role in adapting the platform strategy to data-intensive commodity markets of the 21st century.
