The
ETH Innovation & Entrepreneurship Lab (ieLab) is ETH’s deep-tech business accelerator. As part of the ETH transfer organization, the ieLab supports entrepreneurially minded “Pioneer Fellows” (Master / PhD / PostDocs graduates) and ETH founders in developing successful high-tech businesses based on their research results. ETH Zurich has more than 25 spin-off companies per year and about one third of them are strated at the Innovation & Entrepreneurships Lab. The ieLab enjoys a positive development and we are expanding our team. We are looking for aProgram Administrator (60%) Entrepreneurship Training
Designed as a complementary entrepreneurial education program for the Pioneer Fellows and other ETH entrepreneurs, the ieLab aims to prepare the next generation of business leaders, providing participants with the necessary knowledge, skills and techniques. It is practice-oriented but academically grounded, collaborating with other ETH departments and external trainers. The program has a modular structure, whereby program participants take part in (bi-) monthly one-day workshops, evening seminars held at ETH and also several three-day off-site trainings over the course of their 18 months Pioneer Fellowship.




The successful candidate will act as program administrator, joining colleagues at the ieLab working on the entrepreneur educational program. You will report to the head of the ieLab and play a key role in facilitating the smooth running of the program. Key tasks of this role involve the organization and coordination of course logistics incl. room reservations, catering and materials as well as scheduling with the trainers' and their travel and accommodation arrangements. You negotiate terms with seminar hotels and support participants with accommodation and travel arrangements and the overall program management. Furthermore, you support the head of the ieLab in all program-related administrative tasks, including but not limited to the following: budgeting and accounting, management of the program website, archiving of program documents and materials, organizational management, and liaison with ETH Zurich central services as needed.
We seek a curious, flexible, cooperative and stress-resistant person with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a BA, MAS or CAS degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Event Management or equivalent and a minimum of five years' relevant work experience related to organizing educational programs or events management. The candidate should have some experience related to working in international and/or intercultural settings and he/she should be curious about technology entrepreneurship and start-ups. Excellent English and working knowledge of German is required. Knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.
