Your Responsibilities:

As the EHS Advisor, you will be responsible to

Provide Occupational Safety and Process safety expertise to support GSK Nyon EHS management system implementation, risk mitigation programmes, develop EHS culture and capabilities under compliance of EHS GSK standards and Swiss EHS regulations.   

Occupation safety advisor for the area assigned.

To support key EHS programs:

•Workplace Risk assessment

•Process Safety programme

•Incident investigation

•Audit

•Communication and training

•Operational control

•Performance monitoring

Furthermore your key responsibilities will be:

• Occupational Safety:

o Lead and support occupational safety assessments in the area assigned

o Design and lead occupational safety improvement plan for next 2 years, with focus in top risks

o Execute risk assessments proposing effective risk mitigation plans when necessary and supporting its implementation

o Perform effectiveness checks and occupational safety audits

o Develop capabilities in occupational safety for EHS advisors and leaders.

o Develop robust processes to integrate occupational safety requirements and controls in the current processes.

o Prioritise risks and interventions according to the current and future strategy.

o Develop and execute training plans and provide training in occupational safety: risk assessments, machinery safety, facilities safety, safe systems of work, ergonomics, etc.

o Integration with EHS team and areas assigned to deliver EHS performance and strategy

• Process Safety Programme implementation. Together with current process safety champion:

o Defining and putting in place effective governance system for PS

o Design and lead PS improvement plan for next 2 years

o Execute PS risk assessments (PHIRA assessments) adequate for the process, proposing realistic alternatives and supporting risk mitigation plans

o Lead and execute plans to increase maturity in PS

o Perform HAC

o Develop capabilities in PS for EHS advisors and leaders.

o Develop and execute training plans and provide training in ergonomics

o Integration with EHS team and areas assigned to deliver EHS performance and strategy

o Lead PS risk mitigation in new designs / changes

o Emergency response process review and teams training and organisation


Why You?Basic qualifications:

- French and English advance level required

- Master Occupational safety specialization to be EHS advisor for the area assigned and integration in the EHS team

- Minimum 3 years experience in industries chemical process engineer, ideally an experience in the pharmaceutical industry


Preferred qualifications:

Mature theoretical knowledges in the discipline with practical experience to:

- Provide solutions for PS risks mitigation integrating with other job expectations (performance, quality, safety) and people engagement to find sustainable alternatives.

- Perform PS risks assessments

- Mitigation plans developing integrating work environment and people

- Integrate PS requirements with other fields

- Support designs/changes in early stages to identify and mitigate PS risk

- Good communication skills to develop PS capabilities

- High level of influence in leaders and colleagues
