Guild Owner BizDevOps for the Group IT

Inseriert am: 14.03.2019

Job description

Are you familiar with the problem of working in an IT department that, from the point of view of the business, delivers “too little, too late” and develops software that fails to benefit clients?

Does using scrum methods on a daily basis, but within bureaucratic structures – where people praise the Agile Manifesto superficially but, in their actions and in reality, fail to understand what agile is really about – sound familiar?

Do you want to work together with users and business people to deliver continually high-value customer benefits in interdisciplinary, self-organising teams – in a manner we consider ‘simply safe’?

The Baloise Group is looking for a BizDevOps Leader to establish Group-wide DevOps and push ahead with BizDevOps together with the Agile Coaches. The BizDevOps Leader needs to be an experienced person who acts out of conviction with long-standing Dev and Ops experience. As (Chief Chief) Scrum Master, (Chief Chief) Product Owner or Agile Coach, he/she will have showed lateral leadership and built up learning organisations with strong arguments and conviction in the face of bureaucratic resistance.

If this sounds like an exciting challenge to you and you would like to help shape the newly created Group IT Corporate Division, then we would like meet you.

What we expect

You support your employees in accordance with agile principles and thereby encourage them to come up with new ideas. You approach your tasks in a structured manner and achieve high-quality results with your strong analytical skills. With your inclusive nature, your powers of persuasion and your strong communication skills, you are capable of leading an interdisciplinary team and different stakeholders to jointly achieve results.

As BizDevOps Leader, you should also bring with you the following:

  • University bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in information technology, natural sciences or business/economics or equivalent practical experience

  • At least five years of experience in IT methods and standards

  • Extensive experience in the development of an agile environment and in project management

  • Relevant qualifications in ITIL and agile processes and methods, e.g. Scrum, SAFe, etc.

  • We expect you to have management and leadership experience at a corporate level

  • Fluent German and English
