The Development Engineer candidate will be involved in emulator product development. The role may require occasional national and international travel.
Must have
Expertise on Linux core including developing drivers for Linux and network technologies
Technical project management skills
An ability to work independently, delivering solutions and ensure customer satisfaction
Experience modelling hardware in software
Expertise in programming in C and/or C++
Very good knowledge of X86-64 ISA and Intel VT-x hardware virtualization
Familiar with SPARCV8/V9, DEC VAX /Alpha, and/or PA-RISC architectures
Database knowledge- RDB, MySQL, Oracle
Would be a plus:
System administration experience managing the following legacy OS environments:
SUN Solaris, versions 2.x - 10
HP-UX, versions 10.x - 11.x
OpenVMS for VAX, Alpha, and Integrity, versions 4.5 - 8.4
Tru64 UNIX, versions 3.x - 5.x
HP MPE-ix, versions 6.0 - 7.5
Experience with UNIX/Linux scripting tools and techniques (shell, perl, etc)
Understanding and system management experience of LAN network technologies
Understanding and system management experience of storage technologies (SAN/NAS/iSCSI)
Understanding and management experience with various application stacks: Oracle, Sybase, RDB, etc.
