One aim of HVAC is to maintain appropriate room conditions for users and to ensure appropriate comfort when a room is occupied. This should be achieved using as little energy as possible. At the same time, the potential for optimization when changes in occupancy or use occur can be exploited in order to reduce operating energy costs, protect the environment and conserve energy resources.


For our site in Murten we are currently looking for a


System Test Engineer

You will join a small team responsible of Systems validation focused on ensuring the delivered quality of new products and legacy products.


Responsibilities:


  • As main, You will define System architecture suitable for the Systems validation. However, same meaningful is that You can develop and maintain efficient test cases that cover all functional requirements and make defects to appear.

  • You will ba able to identify windows of opportunity to automate testing using a variety of tools and techniques.

  • You will come up with testing strategies designed to improve legacy products quality.

  • Would You be able to carry a substantial defect analysis, tracking, validation and reporting.

  • How about joining conferences and meetups to keep up with the testers in and outside of Murten?

  • Would You like to use Your Cybersecurity knowledge as well?

Qualifications:


  • Ability to interpret requirements and turn them into system test

  • Confirmed testing experience in test automation

  • Experience in software engineering with Java and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good working knowledge of Protocol of communication (BACnet, CAN-Bus, MQTT…), Network stack (TCP/IP…) and libraries.

  • Experience in handling and programming of Fieldbus systems and PLC desirable (eg Profibus, Modbus, CoDeSys).

  • Experience with Functional Safety standard IEC 61508 – SIL 2 is a plus

  • Fluent in English; able to speak French and/or German is a bonus
