For our international partner, Roche Diagnostics International Ltd. based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Development Engineer - Functional Project Lead Fluid Mechanics (m/f).


Tätigkeiten


Our Instrument Solutions department is responsible for all development activities relevant to the mechanical, electronic and fluidic systems of Roche's Blood Gas & Electrolytes (BG/E) Point of Care medical devices. Our focus is on the development of new products and their continuous improvement, as well as production process improvements, production in-process controls and quality control tests. For our Hardware Design team, we are currently looking for a development engineer to take over the role of a functional project lead (FPL) for specific focus areas, such as the area of fluid dynamics and the development of hydraulic systems. As part of our team, your main tasks and responsibilities are summarized as follows:



  • You are responsible for specific areas such as the analysis and development of fluidic systems, the development of test methods and the development and verification of computational models for the aforementioned systems

  • You support the department in the conceptualization, design, dimensioning, development and subsequent theoretical/numerical and experimental analysis of medical instrument components with focus on thermo- and fluid-dynamics

  • You recommend appropriate measures and optimizations for medical instrument sub-systems and components which are technically and economically feasible and support the department in their successful implementation

  • You can take a leading role in development projects for instrument sub-components and manage internal as well as external project partners; you are responsible for the results, timing and budget of your projects


Anforderungen

  • Background in mechanical engineering, chemical or process engineering, physics or related discipline preferable with focus on fluid dynamics

  • You have at least 3 years of working experience, ideally in a comparable field

  • You have a good working knowledge of the fundamentals of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics

  • You have a good understanding of the principles and application of CFD methods

  • You have experience with Matlab/Simulink as well as with numerical simulations in general

  • Project leading experience in product development is a plus

  • Good communication and soft skills - you can cooperate and network with people across functions

  • You are fluent in German and English, both oral and written
