We are looking from April 2019 on until the end of November 2019 (with option for prolongation), for our Contract Partner Roche Diagnostics International Ltd. in Rotkreuz, for a Global Project Manager 100%.

As a key member in project teams, you will act as a Project Manager (PM) actively contributing to project planning, monitoring and execution of projects to develop Diagnostic Point of Care systems. The holder of this position will work at the interface between multiple disciplines and is helping the teams to effectively and efficiently deliver on the project objectives agreed with the relevant governance bodies. In close collaboration with the Project Leader and Discipline Leads, the Project Manager (PM) implements best practices and provides project/portfolio related information.
Main tasks:
  • Create and maintain project projects plans on different decomposition levels

  • Creating and maintaining integrated task, resource and budget plan

  • Coaching and supporting the project teams in all project related tasks such as planning, reporting and control. This includes project risk and opportunity management

  • Moderation of meetings and workshops

  • Managing project information to support decision making in Project Teams and Management Teams

  • Guiding Project Management related team processes, ensuring consistency, transparency and optimization; implementing best practices to project teams; fostering continuous improvement by ensuring knowledge and experience exchange

  • Defining, measuring and reporting key performance indicators for projects, enabling teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness

  • Performing budget and cost analyses for financial planning and status tracking

  • Must-have requirements:
  • 3-5 Years’ experience with standard project management processes (e.g. PMI, Agile) and/or experience in product development in an international matrix organization, Medical Diagnostics industry is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in the field of Science or Engineering

  • Project Management training and certification (e.g. PMP®) is an asset

  • Self-motivation with a great ability to find solutions to complex problems

  • Interpersonal skills in building trustful relationships with peers in a multi-cultural environment are key to succeed

  • Good analytical thinking, a structured working manner, ability to prioritize, plan and manage multiple tasks with a sense of urgency

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as fluency in English are required / Advanced German

  • Ability and willingness to travel 10%

  • Proficiency in using project management tools including Microsoft Project and related IT tools
