Role Summary:

The role will own all planning cycles, reporting, pacing, closing and FP&A analytics for the Integrated Projects (IP) organisation & the Europe region. She/he will lead a large portion (>70%) of the newly built business of SP as well as the second largest region in the business. and be a key partner to the IP & Europe CFO and the General Managers of the IP & Europe Region to drive operational accountability & support business performance analytics.




Essential Responsibilities:

This is a key role in the steam business finance community with a wide responsibility, very close to the operations and the business finance leadership. This role will lead a team of 2.



In this role she/he will translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs responsive to the external environment and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development.



Her/his main responsibilities will be:



  • Master all Planning cycles and ensure that proper operational targets are cascaded down to the key functional owners in order to have all Financial targets properly allocated throughout the organization

  • Be responsible for quarterly pacing of orders, revenue, CM, base cost, op profit

  • Identify gaps early on vs target and drive closure

  • Engage and own closing process and all the subsequent reporting to Power HQ and to the SP organization to measure actual performance vs targets

  • Support Service Integration

  • Ensure proper visibility of performance of Service business through the creation and maintenance of ad hoc reporting structure

  • Build collaborative relationships with GE Power FP&A and broader SP Finance team

  • Lead the wing-to-wing Integrated Projects and Europe Region Blueprint process from data generation, digitization and submission through to senior level presentation and communication

  • Drive Financial planning cycles and Financial target setting

  • Partner with HQ FP&A and Controllership on Income forecasting and reporting to ensure proper alignment and compliance

  • Support in ERP structure strategy and design changes to ensure business reporting /analytic needs are met

  • Often deputize for CFO in meeting with business management


Qualifications/Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge

  • Major Finance experience in industrial businesses

  • Experience in finance leadership roles

  • Fluent in English

  • Strong industry knowledge and contacts coupled with knowledge of controllership and accounting Issues

  • Experience in complex projects finance

  • Controllership assessment and planning experience

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong SAP - Powermax (PMx) experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills from an accredited university or college

  • Strong experience in FP&A Management


Desired Characteristics:



  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Financ or equivalent knowledge is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Power products and capabilities

  • Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent) is preferred

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans

  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
