To support our Solution Delivery Department / Operations & CC workgroup within the IT Subdivision, FIFA is looking to recruit an experienced person as a team player with good language skills, excellent operating methods and a general knowledge of FIFA. Application Manager
Your duties


  • As a member of the Operations and CC workgroup the Application Manager is responsible for a portfolio of applications used by users as part of the Football and Administration branch.

  • The Application Managers core responsibility is to manage request fulfilment, Incident management, Change management and Problem management processes.

  • 1st and 2nd level of support for the assigned applications: root cause analysis, hands-on configuration/customizing and ability to do software logical design

  • Operation processes: to ensure that the service desk tools, processes and rules make sense and are up to date; to manage and support an effective and efficient handling of user requests within your application portfolio

  • Incident management: to manage the lifecycle of all Incidents within your application portfolio securing the availability of the application and services to all users as quickly as possible

  • Change management: to assess and guide end users within the request of changes ensuring that only beneficial changes are accepted and delivered with the highest possible quality

  • Release management: promote application changes from the development environment to production following the deployment/release cycles and ensuring that all quality criteria’s are met before submitting the request for release

  • Test management: plan and perform appropriate tests and provide training to testing user to ensure application complies with the business requirements. Ensure regression testing is planned and executed

  • Manage the external 3rd level of support IT vendor, e.g. checking the delivery of work in time, within budget, with high quality

Our requirements


  • Overall professional IT experience of minimum 15 years

  • Up to date with the newest developments in the sports and football domain

  • Experience in at least 2 full lifecycle implementation projects (project delivery experience) within the football and sports domain

  • Minimum of 5 years of working in a corporation with managed services provided by an external party and with external consulting providers supporting projects implementation

  • At least 5 years of experience in ITIL Service Operations through experience working in applications operation role, certification in ITIL is highly valuated

  • Very good knowledge of ServiceNow

  • Good knowledge in one or more technologies of the Extranet stack (ASP.Net, Webforms, KnockoutJS, Episerver, SQL Server, Entity Framework, NServiceBus, StructureMap,Lucene, RestSharp) is highly desirable

  • Service Management and/or Project Management certifications (i.e. PMI, ITIL)

  • Experience with Agile product delivery practice and methods

  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly and to adapt to changes in timelines and sequences

  • Readiness to travel (20%)
