A Day in the Life


 


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.



  • Provides technical expertise to sales representatives, other sales functions and customers.

  • Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.

  • May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by providing technical support and information on specific applications.

  • Provides sales personnel with technical data necessary for the demonstration of products.

  • May make technical or scientific presentations at sales meetings and customer locations.

  • Conducts on-site education and consulting, and supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations.

  • Acts as a liaison between sales personnel and technical staff


Independent and pro-active Technical Support of Customers


·        Pre-Implant support: consulting in possible SCS system (variety of implant material), pre-assessment of potential SCS candidates (if requested), explaining SCS trial phase (from OR until realistic goal settings for patients), explanation of different approaches: in-patient vs. out-patient procedure plus related reimbursement system (SwissDRG vs. Tarmed)


·        OR support: implant material handling, technical support


·        Post-Implant support: close-supervision of SCS trial phase (plan 1st patient Follow-Up in the first 24h after SCS trial and permanent SCS implant), managing proper patient follow-up, pro-active patient and physician support during SCS trial phase and after permanent SCS implant.


·        Inventory & Implant material handling: overview and control of all (consignment) stock internally and externally, slow moving material, expiring dates, monthly/quarterly Cycle Counts


·        Material tracking: overview and control MDT field material tracking (fix asset PTMs at customer’s site for SCS trial phases), loan/rented material (Physician Programmer etc.), tracking and reporting (to responsible physician) of patient replacement material as replaced broken patient programmer etc. (important to guarantee and ensure safety tracking)


·        Support of the clinical stuff in reimbursement questions & training and education needs


·        Development of the business relationship with all relevant hospital personnel + related referrals (e.g. radiology dept., physiotherapy dept., head of OR, pain nurse/MPAs, etc.)


·        Knowledge in and reporting about Market Dynamics: change in health care system / reimbursement system, competitions and competitive changes within customers, changes in therapy development (incidence / prevalence / indications) etc.


·        Frequent and close collaboration, communication and feedback with responsible field sales force (Sales Rep)


·        Performance of the role in medical field, including the best medical treatment for patients involving response time to clinical questions within 24 hours, Swiss-wide travelling and on-call duties (emergencies) which may extend beyond the standard working hours and weekdays.


 


Individual TC projects


·        Handling individual project pro-actively and independently – ideas to further develop the projects are highly welcomed and expected (e.g. MRI project, Pain Nurse Training, tech service expert, etc.)  >  setting SMART goals with the TC manager on the individual project.


·        First-Line of Contact to allocated Accounts:


o  Setting SMART goals together with responsible Sales Rep


o  Providing Customer Support that goes above the daily technical support tasks: finding out about customer needs, competition activities, open questions (if needed with the help of the responsible Sales Rep)


o  Analyzing the account with the bigger picture in mind> creating referral network, process optimization, providing training & education opportunities, development of the pain nurses, training of the OR staff (if needed with the help of the responsible Sales Rep)


o  If strategic useful: joining the customers on ECMT trainings / congresses.


 


·        Immediate task: MRI Labelling, Training of Implanters and Reporting for Patients


o  Increasing awareness about MDT MRI labelling (against competition) for all pain related stuff (pain secretary, Pain Nurses, MTAs pain physician): inform and talk with them pro-actively, hand over the MRI-patient report from the Intellis platform to the implanter and the pain secretary so that the patient's MRI-labelling is documented in his patient file in the hospital


Must Have: Minimum Requirements





  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience


Nice to Have





  • Swiss German, English and French

  • Experience in operating room
