We are currently looking to recruit a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for our site in Zürich, Switzerland.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer performs software quality assurance function for the project by defining the software quality assurance plan (SQAP). He/her plans and carries out periodic reviews of software quality assurance activities to ensure the timely delivery of the software design area and can fulfil the following roles out of TCMS Engineering Standard Roles:
- Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Software Verifier.
YOUR TASKS
- Objectively evaluate selected performed processes and work products against the Software Quality Assurance Plan and/or further applicable process descriptions, standards, and procedures
- Carry out audits, inspections or reviews on the overall project (as instantiations of the generic development process) as appropriate in various phases of development
- Deliver software quality related training to the project team;
- Identify lessons learned that could improve processes; Support the project team in software quality aspects
- Communicate software quality issues and ensure the resolution of noncompliance issues with the staff and managers
- Establish and maintain records of software quality assurance activities (evaluation logs, status reports)
- Perform the root cause analysis on SW development process deviation and escaped defects
Qualifications
- Min. bachelor´s degree or equivalent, preferably in the field on software engineering or electrical engineering.
- Work experience of typically 3 to 5 years post graduate (preferably Rail, Automotive, Embedded development like Bosch, Siemens, aerospace, device development – Audio, Information systems)
- Expertise in at least one area: SW development, quality management, documentation management, configuration management
- Experience in conducting audits reviews (document and SW development processes)
- Experience in project coordination or project management is a plus
- Knowledge about the CENELEC norm EN50128 or EN50657 is an asset
- Good understanding of the software development process at least in two areas: requirement management, SW design, SW Development, SW Testing, Test automation, SW integration, external assessment, ISO, IRIS certification
- Good understanding of the SW delivery
- Good stakeholder management skills
