Development Engineer HW / Safety PLC (m/w)

Duties


  • Hardware planning with EPlan p8 including concept development, definition of HW components and implementation

  • Safety PLC development and implementation of new safety control concepts

  • Definition scope of development and evaluation of effort regarding cost, achieving milestones and identification of implementation risks

  • Coordination of internal and external safety specialist (CE and UL)

  • Maintain the cell / machine safety PLC / HW engineering and its documentation during the product life cycle

  • Define and execute continuous improvements in coordination with product and project management

  • Leading external resources regarding specifications and schedule

  • Training of customer service, sales and application technology during development projects

  • Support of engineering, sales and customer service
Qualifications


  • Technical education (MSc, BSc) in software or electrical engineering

  • Expertise in Hardware planning with EPlan and safety PLC programming

  • Profound Knowledge in safety regulations according to machine directive

  • Good knowledge in electrical wiring, sensors, drives and motors

  • Mechanical and hydraulic know-how will be an advantage

  • Good knowledge of German and English, further language skills are an asset

  • Good communications skills on all hierarchical levels

  • Creativeness for driving innovative solutions and strong analytical skills

  • Readiness for international travelling
