Job Description


We are looking for you as our new Clinical Data scientist (m/f/x) for the centralized management of our internal and external sources of post-market clinical data. This role includes identifying and developing databases to establish a cross-departmental data governance process that shall support the Post-Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF) program according to Medical Device Regulation (MDR) requirements. This position will be expected to identify valuable data sources and collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets. In this new role you will be part of our Clinical Operations team, based in Basel, Switzerland, with a direct reporting line to the Head Clinical Research Europe.


 


YOUR TASKS


Define requirements of a database to support PMCF activities:



  • Design, development, implementation, and validation of databases

  • Establish procedures for effectively entering, cleaning and managing data

  • Develop efficient strategies to meet MDR requirements related to PMCF

  • Develop data evaluation plans and reports

  • Ensure compliance of data collection with applicable regulations (MDR, GDPR)


Database set-up and maintenance:



  • Direct data flow for data collection from internal and external sources

  • Contribute to process alignment within and between departments, divisions, programs and other organizations

  • Maintenance of databases and conduct of routine data cleaning as needed to ensure data integrity

  • Identification and selection of external providers (vendor management)

  • Maintenance of a network of dental clinics and professionals


Qualifications



  • Advanced degree in science, engineering, health science, or mathematics/statistics

  • Experience in data management, e.g. like data handling, quality control measures, data cleaning

  • Preferably, track record in big data analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with a critical attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience with external customer and provider management

  • Self-motivated person with an efficient, pragmatic and structured working style, high level of agility and a solution-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work both independently and integrated into a cross-functional team

  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English, additional languages are an asset

  • Willingness to travel within Europe (appr. 10-20%)
