In this role your main tasks will be:

• You will maintain, enhance, design and implement innovative Insurance Linked Strategies (ILS) product and investment structures


• Establish project plans, engage and inform the appropriate internal and external stakeholders, and execute large-scale projects with efficiency, diligence, and eye for business


• You are able to efficiently manage complex structuring projects in the area of hedge funds (onshore and offshore), rated and unrated reinsurers, SPVs, structured and other products


• You will be the central point of contact regarding all CS ILS structuring issues, which offers you a great platform to build a strong network


• To draft and/or review agreements, offering memoranda and documentation relating to investment vehicles


• Research tax, legal, regulatory and accounting considerations relevant to specific clients, products and jurisdictions


• Instruct and manage external legal advisors and other service providers


• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and service providers


• Support product specialist/distribution efforts (presentations, client meetings, etc.)

 

You Offer

• Top academic credentials in law; additional background in common law (in particular U.S. law) is advantageous (e.g. LLM degree), Bar exam preferred


• Deep understanding of corporate and financial market law as well as tax related matters


• You have gained several years of professional work experience in a relevant field within asset management/hedge funds/private equity and/or a corporate law firm


• You are a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong desire to learn and succeed


• In your previous roles you have shown your excellent analytical, interpersonal and project management skills and are able to run multiple projects at the same time


• Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external parties is one of your key skills


• Excellent German and English skills round your profile, if you have additional language skills this is considered a plus
