Performs financial reporting for inventory. This role also provides support to other departments for issue resolution including transfer pricing and standard cost setup (or moving average price), billing flows, supply chain and inventory reconciliation.

This role is based in Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd (APL) the Alcon Group trading company that is the primary international and inter-company trader across the globe. APL also provides sup-ply chain, customer order management and product logistics for deliveries all over the globe.



Major Accountabilities:

The Finance Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring inventory billing flows and performs inventory accounting related month-end tasks. Key tasks include:



Inventory Finance & Accounting

• Monitor and correct variances and errors in intercompany billing flows for inventory transactions, Negative inventory, EDI errors, system-to-system discrepancies etc.

• Opening and closing balance check. Compare regularly inventory levels between the trading company and the manufacturing & distribution entities.

• Provide support related to inventory flows and other ad hoc requests to internal stakeholders.

• Perform period-end closing and related journals, inventory reconciliations, accruals and provision bookings.

• Contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting (NPMR, FCRS) within a strong compliance framework.

• Generate intelligible management reporting in a complicated financial and IT environment.

• Participate in inventory-related projects to support inventory targets.

Work Processes and Internal Controls

• Perform all work in compliance with internal control requirements.

• Support other departments (Supply Chain, BPA, COSM) with financial reporting.

• Participate in various finance and systems related projects.

Minimum requirementsYour profile:

• Bachelor or Diploma or Professional qualification in finance/accounting.

• Experience: 2-5 years in finance/accounting related roles. Ideally already familiar with intercompany billing flows in a multinational environment & product costing.
