Position Purpose & Summary


This is a managerial role within Cargill Trade & Capital Markets.  Much of TCM’s success is dependent on our ability to source trade flows to meet the needs of our various funding structures.  The candidate will manage the trade flow management (TFM) team and will be responsible for proper execution of all TFM transactions. The candidate will also train and manage the team of Coordinators and ensure knowledge is disseminated and recorded for our TFM Library, accessible to Global Structuring team.


The candidate is expected to work with all Business Groups to resolve issues and give assistance in all execution parts of TFM. Also, the candidate is expected to exercise both management skills as well as interpersonal skills when dealing with stakeholders to ensure TCM’s access to an eligible pool of flows to sustain its business growth.


The candidate will also be responsible for working on the design and implementation of the TCM system, with Head of TFM and Trade Flow Structurer.


Principal Accountabilities


50%


- Allocation of TCM transactions: review and/or preparation of daily flow allocation, train Senior Coordinator(s) to handle allocation.


- Trade flow execution: support team in execution and assist the team in execution when needed (such as if other team members are absent and/or during times of high transaction volume).


- Coordinate with TE teams globally on issues and requirements for smooth execution of trades.

- Create and maintain Manuals/ Library of data on trade specificities, bank requirements, allocation best practices/ how-to  (accessible to all Structuring), with help of Trade Flow Structurer.


- Trade flow tracking: preparing reports on flow utilization and projections to global TCM, coordinating with Trade Flow Structurer.

- Manage the team, including hiring, training and development. Ensuring a competent team to support TCM’s business needs.

- Work on the creation of TFM system with Head of TFM and Trade flow Structurer to support TCM’s business requirements.


Qualifications

 

Minimum Required



  • University degree in Finance, Economics and/or Accounting or evidence of equivalent experience/learning via massive open online course.

  • 5-10 years’ experience in trade or commodity finance with track record established over related industry experience,

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple geographies, cultures, and working styles

  • Past experience in an international trading company with an execution or trading role

  • Trade finance knowledge & familiarity with methods of international payments

  • Highly motivated and self-directed with an ability to build collaborative and effective working relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team player

  • Attention to details while keeping a broad perspective, adaptability, inquiring mind and curiosity to learn

  • Ability to express, understand and discuss complex concepts with fluency, in spoken and written English

  • Excellent command of English in spoken and written


Preferred



  • Relevant post graduate degree

  • Experienced in developing successful commercial relationships with 3rd parties (including non-banks) via senior level contacts, is a plus

  • Experience having managed a team previously is a plus

  • Willingness to constantly innovate and learn new products and skills, and ability to drive change when needed

  • Fluency in European languages a plus
