The positionAre you passionate about data story telling with a flair for amazing visualizations? Are you interested in shaping the next generation of data science driven products for the financial industry? Do you enjoy working in an agile environment involving multiple stakeholders?
Be the "data eyes and ears" supporting the product team. Identify together with the product team client objectives and advise on suitable measurement strategies. Use statistical performance analysis and develop custom dashboards and visuals to measure different product strategies.
We want you to help us to strengthen and further develop the transformation of Avaloq to a data driven product company. Make analytics scalable and accelerate the process of data science innovation.
Your profile
Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field
Familiar with Data Visualization Libraries (e.g. D3.js, plotly, ggplot) or BI Software (e.g. Tableau, Clickview, Power BI)
Experience in working with web analytics software (e.g. Google Analytics) is a plus
Experience in applying data science methods to business problems
Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, R, SQL and/or SAS
High integrity, responsibility and confidentiality a requirement for dealing with sensitive data
Strong presentation and communication skills
Good planning and organisational skills
Collaborative mindset to sharing ideas and finding solutions
Experience in the financial industry is a plus
Fluent in English; German, Italian and French a plus
Professional requirements
Making recommendations regarding process improvements and helping develop performance policies and procedures
Story-telling using scalable and interactive visualizations & graphs
Directing queries and analysing databases and logs to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports
Use statistical techniques to produce solutions for customer demands and complex problems
Use data and data science methods to analyse customer behaviour and needs enabling customer-centric product development
Establish a data-driven product development culture
Strengthen data science within Avaloq and establish a data science centre of expertise
